Medical cannabis pharmacy information

Medical cannabis pharmacy information

All medical cannabis products must be purchased from a licensed medical cannabis pharmacy.

There are 15 medical cannabis pharmacy licenses directly regulated by Utah Department of Agriculture and Food as outlined in 4-41a. See a list of the licensed medical cannabis pharmacies and home delivery services available.

The Utah Medical Cannabis Act requires that each licensed medical cannabis pharmacy have a Pharmacy Medical Provider (PMP) on-site and available to consult with cardholders during business hours. It is the responsibility of the PMP to review medical cannabis transactions and verify that all transactions are completed correctly. Each PMP must register with DHHS. To learn more about how to register as a PMP, please review the information in the "pharmacy medical provider (PMP)" section under the Providers tab.

All employees of a medical cannabis pharmacy, with the exception of PMPs, must be registered with UDAF as medical cannabis pharmacy agents and/or courier agents. To learn more about how to register as a medical cannabis pharmacy agent and/or courier agent, please review the information in the "agents" section of this page.
