Agent Training

Overview

In order to apply for or renew an agent card, an individual must provide proof of completing a UDAF approved agent training. 

To submit a course to UDAF for consideration, please email [email protected].

The department shall ensure that the certification standard includes training:

• • in Utah medical cannabis law;
  • for a cannabis cultivator/processor agent, in cannabis cultivation best practices, cannabis processing, manufacturing safety procedures for items for human consumption, and sanitation best practices; 
  • for a laboratory agent, in cannabis testing best practices;
  • for a pharmacy agent, in cannabis pharmacy best practices; and
  • for a courier agent, in the medical cannabis shipment process and medical cannabis courier best practices.

Some production establishments have also provided their own training that is approved by UDAF. Please check with your medical cannabis establishment to confirm which training you should take.
