How to register as a recommending medical provider (RMP) in the electronic verification system (EVS)

You can manage your patients, help them submit medical cannabis applications, add an RMP proxy to your account, and more in the electronic verification system (EVS).

You can submit a paper certification if you don’t want to register in the EVS. Learn more about how to submit a paper certification.

Follow these steps to register as an RMP in the EVS:

Go to the EVS

Click the "Log in" button on the EVS.

You'll sign in to UtahID before creating an EVS account.

New users: Follow the steps at https://dts.utah.gov/idhelp/account-creation/ to create your UtahID account.

Complete 4 hours of continuing education on medical cannabis.
You can complete any continuing education that focuses on medical cannabis. Here are some resources you can use:

Create an EVS account.

Submit your medical cannabis provider application in the EVS.

Look at the pictures under the “visual help” heading to see how to fill out and submit your medical cannabis application in the EVS. .
Click the "New RMP application" button.

Enter your information. Required information is marked with a red star. Then click "Next".

Enter your RMP credentials. Then click "Next"

Enter your continuing education information. Then click "Next".

Click the "Add address" button to add the information for your office address if it's not listed already.

Enter the information for your office address. If you'd like to have your information published on our website, select "Yes-publish on CMC website" and add in your clinic details. Then click "Save". You'll be brought back to the "Address information" page. Then click "Next".

Read the acknowledgement statement and click the "Acknowledge" box. Then click "Submit".

Your RMP registration will last for 2 years.

You can renew your registration in the EVS after 2 years.
