UDOH Accepting Applications for Rural Medical Cannabis Pharmacy License
The Utah Department of Health announced today that the application period for rural medical cannabis pharmacy license applications is now open and will remain open until Tuesday, October 19, 2021. The department plans to announce the winning applicant on or before Monday, November 15, 2021.
Applicants will compete for one rural medical cannabis pharmacy license that must be issued to a location in one of eight rural counties: Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah, Carbon, Sevier, Emery, Grand, or San Juan.
Applicants may visit the Utah Division of Purchasing’s vendor website to search for and view the application (search for RS22-15). Applicants may need to create a vendor account to view the application requirements.

General Information: There are currently 14 licensed medical cannabis pharmacies throughout Utah. Utah’s medical cannabis program launched in March 2020 and now has over 36,000 registered medical cannabis patient cardholders and 780 medical providers registered to recommend medical cannabis to qualifying patients.
